Job description

Nicholas Electric Corporation is currently seeking an Electrical Helper!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Follow New York State Electrical Code, local codes, OSHA safety standards, and company safety procedures at all times
  • Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to read and follow basic electrical plans, diagrams, and verbal instructions
  • Perform work in occupied residential homes, maintaining professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for clients’ property
  • Assist with rough and finish work, including wiring, device installation, panel work, and troubleshooting under supervision
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and job-site environments
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn, follow directions, and grow within the electrical trade
