Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide plant wide electrical coverage for troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment on fixed shift basis
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Electrical and Automation Control Systems including:
    • Industrial networking - Ethernet, IP, switches, wiring methods
      • Industrial PC's - hardware, operating systems, peripherals.
      • HMI's - Intouch, FactoryTalk View
      • PLC's - Rockwell Logix family, GE Series 90 and GE RXi
      • Maintenance / Programming Software - experience using RS Logix
      • Motor Control - full voltage, VFDs (Power Flex, Parker)
      • Safety Systems - Safety PLCs, Relays, Scanners, Light Curtains, Mats
      • Instrumentation - Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level, Weight, Speed
      • Electrical Power - protective devices, power supplies, 480v,120v,24v
      • Tools - use of meters, calibration/test equipment, and common hand tools
  • Perform prescribed preventive maintenance of electrical and control system equipment.
  • Assist in identifying, investigating, and recommending solutions for repeat equipment failures.
  • Continue to improve technical skills through formal, informal, and hands-on training.
  • Occasionally assist site maintenance mechanics with mechanical repairs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work safely and to perform complete and safe repairs
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team-environment applying good practices, making sound decisions, and working safely at times with minimal supervision.
  • Perform rotating weekend call-in coverage, work overtime and provide vacation coverage, as assigned. May need to cover overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to stand for up to 2 hours, squat for up to 5 minutes, kneel for up to 15 minutes and walk up to ½ mile at a time.
  • Ability to lift and frequently carry up to 8 pounds, and occasionally up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely and confidently from ladders or scissors lift.

Qualifications
You Must Have:
  • Good understanding of electrical concepts, standards, and technology and the ability to use common tools and accepted practices to safely work with Industrial Electrical / Control Systems.
  • 1+ year of experience with troubleshooting and repair of Industrial electrical/control systems - 24v to 480v.

Additional Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two-year Associates degree in Automation / Controls, Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation, Computer, or related technical field.
  • In lieu of degree, demonstrated equivalent experience gained from role in military assignments and/or previous industrial work experience.
  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working on continuous (running) production processes.
  • Understanding and adherence to NFPA 70E, Safe Electrical Work Practices
  • Solid PC skills and proficiency with PC applications.
  • Experience seeking sound solutions and desire to follow best practices.
  • Maintaining a customer focus and a safety mindset in everything you do.

Compensation:
The annual base hourly range for this position is $32 to $33 Per Hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
