Job description

Princeton Electrical Makeover is looking for an experienced Electrical Helper / Service Technician with more than 31⁄2 years of hands-on electrical experience.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with solid residential electrical experience who can assist Lead Electricians on larger projects and, when permitted by New Jersey requirements and authorized by the Company, perform assigned electrical work without constant on-site supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Electricians with residential installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Perform approved residential service and repair assignments
  • Troubleshoot common residential electrical problems
  • Install and replace receptacles, switches, GFCIs, lighting, dedicated circuits, and other electrical equipment
  • Assist with panels, EV chargers, generators, and larger projects
  • Complete service calls, punch-list work, and inspection corrections
  • Review work orders and make sure required tools and materials are available
  • Document completed work, materials, photos, and job notes
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and office staff
  • Follow company safety procedures, electrical codes, and applicable New Jersey requirements

Requirements

  • More than 31⁄2 years of qualifying hands-on electrical experience
  • Strong residential electrical experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of the NEC
  • Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to work as part of a crew and, when permitted by New Jersey requirements and authorized by the Company, perform assigned electrical work without constant on-site supervision
  • Must meet applicable New Jersey licensing, credential, and supervision requirements
