Job Description
JMA Solutions, a leading government contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration, has a full-time opportunity for an Electrical Engineer (INT II Eng). NDP Infrastructure (AJW-B710) is looking for someone to provide Electrical Engineer support to improve our abilities to offer the best and most efficient customer service and support of NAS RADAR facilities.
The Electrical Engineer (INT II Eng) will develop site Electrical and HVAC upgrade scopes, provide second level electrical support, and develop creative and optimized electrical solutions for unique applications. The position is located remotely, and 25% travel will be required. Some HVAC Experience would be useful.
Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop scopes of work, drawings, and cost estimates for electrical projects for government-related facilities. Most of the work will focus on interior power distribution, backup power systems, HVAC, and lightning protection
  • Provide engineering support of existing electrical systems at NDP related facilities
  • Identify potential areas for design improvements, and develop unique optimized solutions to improve the reliability of the equipment
  • Work and communicate effectively with a multi-disciplined team to accomplish project execution
  • Create and modify drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD, and be very competent in at least one of these programs
  • Create and edit documents in Bluebeam and ProjectWise software applications

Job Requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience with general electrical systems that support electronic equipment, including good understanding of power distribution and integrated system design
  • Additionally, knowledge of backup power (UPS and Engine Generators), lightning protection, grounding, and general problem-solving skills are important to fulfilling the associated duties
  • Need to be a highly motivated self-starter and able to work independently
  • Attend routine project meetings and have the ability to clearly communicate work status and completion of tasks

Education

Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance preferred. Must be eligible to obtain if not active.
