Job Summary

This role supports new product project engineers, application engineers, and in some instances the quality department.

Essential Job Functions

Manage and complete requested caster and wheel testing.

o Testing to Industry Standards

o Customer requested testing

o Continuous/Quality requested testing

Maintain and improve the test lab and testing equipment; assure calibration schedules are maintained, and preventative maintenance activities are established and performed.

Develop new testing equipment and fixturing where needed.

Convert customer testing into equivalent testing for our current equipment to approximate actual results.

Keep up to date on requirements for current industry standards.

Create detailed records for tests including test parameters and performance.

Provide summarized reports based upon basic analysis of testing results and maintain test report standards.

Develop and maintain lab test scheduling and status communication processes.

  • Identify opportunities for automated data collection and analysis; propose and implement solutions.
