About the job

Our advanced aerospace hardware initiative is deploying advanced Google compute (TPUs) and multi-sensor hardware infrastructure into orbital and extreme aerospace environments. This interdisciplinary team is engaged in rapid experimentation, prototyping, and detailed studies of physical limits to develop space-ready hardware architectures.

As the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager, you will build, scale, and lead the founding Electrical Engineering team for our advanced aerospace hardware initiative. You will be instrumental in guiding the modification, design, development, and testing of space-ready Google Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to enable machine learning workloads in novel, non-data center environments.

The successful candidate enjoys the challenge of defining a complete electrical architecture and making systems operate in extreme environments often doing things they weren't originally designed to do and leveraging those learnings to design better, more robust solutions.

This role may involve working with technical information that is export-controlled. Non-U.S. persons would require an export license to do so (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents/green card holders, and individuals granted refugee or asylee status are considered 'U.S. persons' under applicable law).
