Job description

Job Description Join the BAE Systems' team and help shape National Security as a member of the Infrastructure Management Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, extensive project experience, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment. They will be adept at navigating complex organizational structures, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources effectively. Additionally, they will possess a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and digital tools, and be able to communicate clearly with team members, stakeholders, and customers. This role offers opportunities for career growth and development through resource sharing across multiple programs and departments, enabling critical career broadening activities. Additional requirements: * Work with a multi-discipline engineering team to perform plant and project engineering. Select construction materials and methods, write specifications, supervise and prepare electrical drawings, control cost, and manage work to meet project schedules * Perform electrical engineering analyses/calculations for one or more of the following: Medium Voltage Power Distribution systems, Sensors, AC DC Systems, PLC's and Controls systems. * Electronic panel design for small- and large-scale systems, component selection and layout. (AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, ETAP or other related software) * Power Calculations for low and medium voltage equipment (0-600V) (1000-35 kV). Understanding of 3 phase and single-phase equipment * Conduct inspections of existing for code compliance and safety * Support development of plans and schedules for the construction phase of projects ensuring that materials, equipment, and personnel will be available to meet project schedules * Ensure that work is performed in accordance with codes, specifications, and plans within cost and schedule * Create detailed project proposals, scopes of work and estimates * Review and approve design packages from equipment suppliers and design firms * Execute commissioning plan and maintain documentation as needed * Consider safety in all aspects of work and design Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (may consider a closely related degree) * 7 yrs technical experience (5yrs with MS) in Infrastructure electrical design and construction * Broad electrical engineering experience in at least one of these areas: high voltage substation design, facility electrical supply, and/or electrical hardware (motor and pump) integration. * Ability to peer review documentation such as, but not limited to, schematics, diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazard area classification drawings, and electrical analysis or studies developed by other engineers and designers * Working knowledge of, and ability to correctly interpret applicable codes and standards * Working knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB etc.) * Ability to direct design teams and create required engineering documentation using Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to interface effectively with site operations and maintenance teams Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Professional Engineer License * Skilled in principles of facility construction/sustainment activities * Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
