Job description

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is currently seeking a full time licensed Senior Electrical Engineer in our Albuquerque, NM office. The candidate will be an experienced design engineer and the team leader, providing mentoring and technician assistance to a team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineer of projects
  • Project management
  • Verification and technical review of designs
  • Provide design, design management, specifications, and studies of industrial type projects
  • Developing good client relationships
  • Marketing for new projects
  • Involvement in preparation of engineering fees for procurement of projects

Typical projects include:
  • Railroad fueling facilities, maintenance facilities, loading and unloading facilities.
  • Petroleum industry facilities.
  • Vertical building designs, such as schools.
  • Power distribution and wiring.
  • PLC controls.
  • Water, wastewater, and industrial waste facilities.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience on similar projects
  • Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or related subject
  • Current PE License
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer or the ability to step up into the position, overseeing multi-disciplinary rail / industrial projects
  • Proven experience in electrical projects from a design perspective including power systems (primary and secondary), substations, LV power distribution, control system design including SCADA systems, and lighting design
  • An understanding of building codes and construction issues
