We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II - IV to join our growing team in our New York office. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group and work in close contact and effectively interact with the Internal Design team as well as external clients and consultants. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Job Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer II - IV, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer. You will also develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Beginning to establish system application, design, and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the Senior on the project
  • Participating in ensuring / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
  • Assisting in the ongoing determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets
  • Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
  • Assisting in processing RFI's, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of the production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role.
Additional requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution
  • 18 month - 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm
  • Current PE registration, preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
  • LEED AP, highly preferred
  • History of working with projects such as Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
  • REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
  • Proficient in design and calculation software
