Electrical Engineer II (Power)

Arden Hills, MN | Direct Hire | $85,000–$95,000 + Bonus Opportunity

Konik is partnering with an innovative engineering and manufacturing company seeking an Electronics Engineer II to support the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems used within high-power test equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex hardware designs while collaborating with engineering, software, manufacturing, sales, and customers throughout the product development process.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of electrical engineering experience with a strong foundation in PCB design, power electronics, and hardware development. This position is a great fit for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, troubleshooting, and contributing to products from concept through testing and release.

Electrical Engineer II (Power) Job Description

  • Design, develop, and test electronic systems, circuits, and components used within advanced test equipment.
  • Support the design of DC-to-DC switching power supplies, including high-current and high-power applications.
  • Perform circuit analysis, component selection, schematic development, and PCB placement activities.
  • Create bills of materials (BOMs) and support hardware testing and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop and execute test programs to verify hardware performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with software, manufacturing, sales, and engineering teams to support product development and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and user materials.

Electrical Engineer II (Power) Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Experience with PCB design is required.
  • Experience with high-voltage or high-power electronics is required.
  • Understanding of circuit design principles, power electronics, and electronic testing methods.
  • Experience with schematic capture, component selection, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, C/C++ programming, Python, Verilog FPGA design, Cadence Allegro, or switching power supply design is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
