Are you a passionate and driven Electrical Engineer eager to design cutting-edge control systems?

Control Assemblies is seeking a talented Advanced Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you'll be responsible for the complete electrical design cycle of innovative automation solutions, from concept to installation.

What You'll Do:

  • Design & Develop: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design robust, safe, and efficient electrical control systems for a wide range of industrial applications.
  • Select & Implement: Evaluate and select the best-in-class industrial control system hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other industrial control components.
  • Create & Optimize: Develop detailed electrical schematics, 3D panel layouts, and bills of materials using EPLAN Pro Panel. Design custom control panels, optimizing for performance, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure On-Time Delivery: Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of control panels and critical components.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Support assembly, and end customers during installation, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design for custom automation.
  • Preferred EPLAN Electric P8 or Pro Panel experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including three-phase power circuits, motor controls, and control logic.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial automation hardware, including PLC hardware, VFDs, and power and control circuits.
  • Proficiency in relevant electrical codes and standards, such as the National Electric Code (NFPA 70), NFPA 79, and UL508A.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
