Job description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time or contract.
Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and production transition of electrical systems and test equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical design, test procedure development, validation testing, and creation of engineering drawings for assemblies and cable harnesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical test equipment to support product validation and manufacturing activities.
  • Create detailed test procedures, test plans, and documentation for engineering and production testing.
  • Perform electrical and functional testing for engineering design validation and product qualification.
  • Support transition of products from engineering development into production.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and cable/harness drawings.
  • Analyze test results and prepare technical reports documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, test setups, and hardware issues during development and production phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and project management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, testing, or product validation.
  • Experience designing electrical test equipment and test fixtures.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing test procedures.
  • Experience creating electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and cable harness drawings.
  • Knowledge of measurement and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and transition to production.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding relevant electrical standards and regulatory requirements.

Work Authorization Requirement

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • Ability to work on projects requiring U.S. work authorization and compliance with applicable regulations.
