Exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager looking to join the team in Minneapolis! This is a hybrid position with working three days in the office and two days remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead/scope the electrical engineering side of projects
  • Develop site plans, power/signal/lighting plans, equipment layouts, one-lines, industrial controls, assessments and reports
  • Support construction administration (interpret plans, observe construction, ensure plans, specs, and schedule are met)
  • Lead engineering/design team
  • As a “Seller-Doer”, partner with management on proposal development, client relationships, opportunity tracking, and client presentations
  • Mentor/train junior staff


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 8+ years of progressive technical design experience in industrial facility/site power distribution, lighting, and control/signal systems
  • 2+ years managing electrical or multi-disciplined projects with service fees exceeding $300,000/year
  • PE License; PE License in multiple states preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, and MS Office
  • Experience coordinating design standards across disciplines (Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Structural)
  • Experience in construction administration (observation and inspection)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for meetings, consultations, and site inspections (occasional overnight travel)
  • Experience in the following a plus:
  • Responding to RFPs, including fee estimating
  • Business development efforts including securing new projects/programs
  • Design experience with medium voltage (13.8kV) site power distribution
  • Experience with synchronous motor installation, startup, and analysis
  • Experience with P&IDs, loop sheets, and instrumentation/control panel work
  • Experience configuring or programming PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation
  • Experience with medium voltage switchgear relay setup and configuration
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment and power quality issues
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Revit
