Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.Job Profile Summary As part of a small, high-impact team responsible for integration, installation, refurbishment, maintenance, and operations, the Electrical Engineer III delivers end-to-end electrical engineering solutions across a broad scope. Working under general direction, this engineer independently determines and develops approaches to moderately complex problems, partners across a diverse set of technical and operational stakeholders and contributes engineering judgment to the supporting disciplines that surround a successful integration effort.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop, analyze, and implement electrical engineering solutions spanning power distribution, motor/generator systems, instrumentation, and controls, along with the integration challenges that bridge these domainsServe as a technical contributor on a small team with wide-ranging scope, independently determining technical approaches and adapting to shifting priorities and problem typesInterface with multiple stakeholder groups—including operations, manufacturing, test, and external partners—to gather requirements, communicate technical direction, and align on solutionsProvide engineering input across supporting disciplines, including safety and failure-effects analysis, systems engineering, configuration management, quality, work-instruction authoring, work scheduling, technical design/drafting, and process developmentPerform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on electrical and electromechanical systems, and recommend corrective actionsSupport preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, including identifying and supporting procurement of critical spare partsConfigure and support basic networking infrastructuresApply and support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), de-energization, and other safe-work practices in design and executionDesign and evaluate electrical systems for installation in hazardous (classified) locationsLeverage AI-enabled engineering tools to improve analysis, documentation, and design efficiencyDocument designs, analyses, and decisions to support traceability and configuration controlMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experienceExperience with low-voltage and medium-voltage systems including interpreting analyses and studiesFunctional knowledge of motors, generators, and facility power systemsExperience with instrumentation and controls, including hardware such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Hands on experience with preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skillsFamiliarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and de-energization proceduresDemonstrated experience working in dynamic, high-energy operational environmentsExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentProficiency using AI tools in an engineering workflowPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineExperience designing for hazardous (classified) areas (e.g., Class I, Division 2)Experience with failure investigationsHands on experience supporting systems engineering, configuration management, or quality processesExperience authoring work instructions and developing processesWorking knowledge of basic networking systemsFamiliarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E / arc flash) and PLC/controls platformsBase Pay Range for:WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
