Job description

Job Title: Sr. Electrical Design Engineer

Job Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Must be willing to relocate and work onsite in Atlanta, GA.

About the Role

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring electrical wire harness and components integration with Electrical Aircraft Integration

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans
  • Develop substantiation reports and test plans / reports for aircraft cabin safety.
  • Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for electrical requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues and airworthiness concerns with DER would be plus
  • Identify applicable major design changes impacting electricals
  • Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies
  • Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/at test labs/jigs

Qualifications

  • B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
  • Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing a/c
  • Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
  • Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required Skills

  • Must have AutoCAD or Draftsight tools experience

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge ofaircraft interiors.
  • Experience as a design engineer or substantiation engineer.
  • Working Knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification
