What you will do:
  • Support a team of 8-10 direct reports, including coaching, guiding their growth, and taking responsibility for their performance and work quality
  • Work closely with UX Design, Quality Assurance, Product, Backend, and TPM teams to plan and perfect delightful features for Honda drivers
  • Bridge teams with our parent company, Honda, for smoother operations and communication
  • Elevate the performance of the team by establishing clear priorities and streamlining processes around Agile
  • Recruit mobile software engineers to scale our team
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or other management role, having managed teams of 3 or more engineers
  • Experience with mobile app development in one or more of these technologies: iOS, Android, and cross-platform technologies
  • Experience delivering large projects spanning multiple teams
  • Experience in running engineering projects with Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel about 10% to 20% of the time (Japan, LA, or Columbus)
Nice to have:
  • IoT, connected experiences, etc.
  • Android Automotive

  • Kotlin Multiplatform
$180,000 - $225,000 a year
