HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Syracuse, NY.
In this role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design innovative technical solutions and execute project scope under the guidance of a team leader. You will be responsible for translating functional requirements into robust designs and validating that those designs meet all performance and project constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of digital processing algorithms and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical discipline. Success in this position requires the ability to work independently, follow leadership direction, and deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
This position is contingent on contract award
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, software systems, and networks.
  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Apply sound technical principles, theories, and concepts to assigned work.
  • Create solutions to challenging technical problems in a team environment using engineering processes and toolsets.

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!
  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with leadership and peers.
  • A team player with the ability to participate in cross-functional teams, communicate with team members, and coordinate work with others to reach a common goal.
  • Willingness to travel for external testing events and customer demonstrations.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements
  • Attitude of positivity and constant self-improvement that inspires and motivates others.
  • Experience in RADAR, Electronic Warfare, and/or Wireless Communications.
  • Experience in one or more of the following involving performant processing: FPGAs, GPUs, CPUs, digital filters, high-speed ADCs/DACs, complex mixed signal PCB design.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with C/C++/OpenCL and scripting languages such as Tcl, Python.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic and embedded processor techniques, solutions, and toolsets.
