Position Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform traction power & electrical system design
  • Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
  • Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
  • Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
  • Select electrical equipment & coordinate with manufacturers
  • Prepare construction cost estimates & schedules
  • Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
  • Attend site visits during design & construction phase
  • Participate in factory & site acceptance testing (FAT / SAT)
  • Coordinate with utility companies & regulatory agencies
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Present technical solutions to clients & leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License – Required
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience
  • Strong experience in:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Substations & switchgear
    • Traction power systems
    • Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems
  • Expert knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes
  • Software experience:
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit
    • OpenBuildingDesigner
    • OpenRoadDesigner
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000 – $200,000 annually
