The opportunity:

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Vancouver office. In this role you will be responsible for analysis, design, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

   What you’ll do:

  • Analysis, design, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. 
  • Installations may include power supply services, electrical distribution systems in water & wastewater infrastructure, street lighting, traffic signals, airfield electrical systems and all other associated work related to infrastructure and facilities projects.
  • Working with Water, Municipal and Transportation Infrastructure teams and oversee the production team during drawing production and prepare specifications for systems to be included in tender and construction packages.

Does this sound like you?

  •  An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  •  3+ years of experience.
  •  Registered, or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC.
  •  Strong Leadership qualities and ability to work independently.
  •  The ability to work in complex environments, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
  •  Experience in marketing and business development.
  •  Thorough understanding of lighting and electrical layouts, single line diagrams, motor control schematics, local, national and international codes and regulations.
  •  Committed team player and self-motivated.
  •  Experience with AGI32 and ETAP software is an asset.
  •  Site inspection of electrical installations.
  •  Proven technical skills and attention to detail.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
