Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer in San Francisco, CA:
  • Perform technical calculations and design, understand project requirements and the effort required to complete work, and apply critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution
  • Perform engineering assignments by applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project tasks
  • Utilize sound judgment and an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities through assigned work
  • Exercise discretion in refining work details and making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids to support project needs
  • Research and apply building codes, regulations, and industry requirements
  • Prepare electrical design calculations and utilize electrical and lighting design software
  • Support electrical engineering design activities on assigned projects
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
  • Ensure discipline-specific plans meet overall project requirements for scope and schedule
  • Stay current with codes and technologies relevant to electrical, telecom, and security systems
  • Ensure design and construction documents conform to standards, established practices, applicable codes, and technical requirements
  • Develop designs within a BIM environment
  • Complete assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client criteria and applicable codes and standards
  • 30% domestic travel required
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Development Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Design Professional, or in a related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Development Engineering, or a related field of study and 1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Design Professional, or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:

  4. SKM Power Tools
  5. AGI32
  6. MicroStation
  7. Cable and conduit sizing
  8. Voltage Drop Analysis
  9. Short Circuit Studies
  10. Protection and Coordination Study.
