  • Benefits after 30 days (health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, etc.)

  • 401k after 30 days

  • Job offer will be contingent on drug screen and background check

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings and documentation using CAD-based tools for industrial and manufacturing facilities

  • Prepare and review electrical design packages including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems

  • Perform electrical load calculations and select appropriate equipment, cable sizes, and protective devices

  • Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, civil, and automation disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical systems

  • Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities to verify correct installation and safe operation

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including calculations, design notes, and technical correspondence

  • Provide technical support to construction teams and site personnel during installation and start-up

  • Apply new technologies and design methods to improve reliability, constructability, and overall project efficiency

Desirable Experience and Technical Skills

  • The Electrical Designer / Project Engineer will support a wide range of industrial electrical systems, including:

    • High-voltage plant distribution systems up to 34.5 kV

    • Medium- and low-voltage industrial distribution systems including 13.8 kV, 4.16 kV, 2.4 kV, and 480 V

    • Large industrial machinery power distribution and MCC systems

    • Industrial motor control systems, including AC and DC drive systems in both medium- and low-voltage applications

    • Industrial process control systems using PLCs (Siemens experience preferred), including I/O and point-to-point wiring

    • Industrial communications networks including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and Ethernet-based systems

    • Industrial robotic systems

    • Industrial instrumentation systems, including P&ID-based design and documentation and wireless instrumentation technologies

Software and Tools

  • Proficiency with electrical CAD and documentation tools

  • EPLAN experience is a strong plus

  • SolidWorks knowledge is a plus for equipment and layout coordination

Additional Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems and circuits, including power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems using CAD tools

  • Prepare and review electrical installation drawings and technical specifications for industrial projects

  • Develop testing and inspection procedures for electrical systems

  • Coordinate code compliance and support designs in accordance with applicable NEC, NFPA, and industry standards

  • Research and evaluate new electrical and automation technologies to improve system performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical design and documentation

  • Strong working knowledge of power distribution systems, motor control, and industrial automation

  • Ability to work directly with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and plant personnel
