Job description

Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing electrical group as an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and construction administration working in a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract documents. This individual will support our growing internal and external clients serving the educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries. A solid understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power generation and the NEC is required.


What you’ll do:

  • Perform engineering and design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the public, private and municipal sectors.
  • Responsibilities will include production of contract drawings, field investigations, shop drawings, reports and participation in project meetings.
  • Duties will include coordinating with multi-disciplinary personnel located in local and regional offices, working with sub-consultants, equipment vendors and clients.
  • A successful candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal oversight and be capable of initiating coordination with other building system disciplines.

What you will bring:

  • Engineer/Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in an engineering firm
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Familiar with electrical aspects of buildings codes and design manuals
  • Diverse and proven electrical design experience.
  • Valid driver’s license


Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
