Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Electrical Technician 2 based in Baltimore, MD.

You'll perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of Aggreko's electrical power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, load banks, cables, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related systems. This role supports both field and service center operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and customer expectations.

What you'll do as an Electrical Technician 2

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment and documents this as directed supervisor.
  • Set up and operate equipment as directed both in-house and at customer locations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork timely and accurately which may include data entry and general use of relevant computer systems and software as directed, equipment and procedural as required (i.e. expense reports, training records, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both in-house and on customer locations and handle repairs.
  • Utilize mathematical formulas to determine both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Test, maintain, and repair BESS products including battery cells, modules, controls, and related ancillary systems (fire suppressant, HVAC, etc.). Set up, commission, operate equipment at customer sites.

You are:

  • Technical aptitude; knowledge in Generators, Industrial HVAC equipment, Air Compressors, Electrical Distribution, Power Generation, Load banks, and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Ability and drive to grow, personally and professionally; desire to be a good team player in a growing and aggressive company
  • Ability to do both physical work, think through and resolve technical problems; will to get hands dirty, sweat, and interact with internal and external customs to deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Experience with BESS equipment including battery cells, modules, racks, management systems / controls, power conversion related technology & equipment.
  • Associate degree / diploma in Applied Science preferred
