Electrical Craft Helpers are skilled workers who assist electricians and other electrical trades professionals with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Their duties typically include preparing tools and materials, running wiring, cleaning work areas, and performing basic electrical tasks under supervision. They play a crucial support role on construction sites, in factories, and during building maintenance projects, helping to ensure that electrical work is completed efficiently and safely.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an electrical craft helper, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Electrical Craft Helper, you need a foundational understanding of basic electrical principles, safety protocols, and manual dexterity, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and lockout/tagout procedures is typically required, and OSHA safety certification is advantageous.
