Job description

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineering leader looking to shape the future of robotics? A rapidly growing robotics company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and validation of the electrical systems powering a fleet of advanced autonomous robotic platforms. This is a full-time position 4 days per week located in Charlestown, MA.
This role offers the opportunity to architect next-generation hardware solutions across power distribution, embedded controls, sensors, safety systems, and PCB design while leading a talented team of electrical and firmware engineers. You'll be a key contributor in bringing cutting-edge warehouse automation technology from concept through production.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of leadership role leading, supporting and managing engineering teams
  • Experience developing electrical systems for robotics, industrial automation, or embedded hardware products
  • Deep understanding of PCB design, power electronics, signal integrity, and hardware interfaces
  • Experience with embedded systems and communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, PCB layout, and design tools such as Altium or KiCAD
  • Experience supporting firmware development, hardware bring up, validating and diagnostics
  • Understanding of safety standards, EMI/EMC compliance, and reliability testing

  • Experience with manufacturing support, DFM/DFT, and production scaling
  • Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, and industrial control systems
