As an Automation Technician I/II/III for Greenheck Group you will build, wire, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems. You will be responsible for basic programming of one or more of the following: HMI, PLC.

What you'll be doing:

  • Write PLC-HMI program using various software packages.

  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layout using AutoCAD Electrical, Build, and wire electrical panels.

  • Typical programs would be low complexity machine control.

  • Design low complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards, to ensure the safety of our Greenheck teammates.

  • Wire external machine components to electrical cabinet.

  • Develop electrical parts list for the project.

  • Order parts for projects using Ariba Purchasing system Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machine to make production ready.

What you should have as a level I:

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience required.

  • High school or GED required.

  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study preferred.

What you should have as a level II:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience required.

  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • AutoCAD or Drafting software

  • Basic PLC training

  • Basic HMI Programming

What you should have as a level III:

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience required.

  • 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • AutoCAD or Drafting software

  • Basic PLC training

  • Basic HMI Programming

  • Minimal travel is required for this role.

  • You will work on-site role at our Machine Development Center (MDC) in Schofield, WI.
