About Us

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.

Position Summary: We are looking for a Mechanical Project Coordinator to work with our Engineering team to carry out specific tasks that are vital to the production, sales and engineering departments. 

Essential Functions

Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

  1. Design brackets and/or assemblies for new products and product changes.
  2. Use software tools or applications to analyze and create drawings, or systems and document in comparison with design criteria.
  3. Gather product information and read design specifications.
  4. Work with customers, engineers and other departments to communicate needs and help with processes throughout the company.
  5. Help create processes and manuals that will aid in operations, features, and maintenance.
  6. Create Bills of Material so they can be entered into our MRP software system.
  7. Update files and maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.
  8. Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders. 
  9. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
  10. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.   
  11. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications 

  1. 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical systems design, construction, operations, and maintenance
  2. A highly organized, efficient, and process improvement mindset and skillset
  3. A person that shows commitment and engagement through a strong work ethic, initiative, and utilization of abilities.
  4. Someone able and willing to dive in and help solve problems
  5. Someone with a strong desire to work in a heavy industrial environment
  6. Good research skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  8. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  9. A multi-tasker who can tackle multiple projects at the same time.
  10. Help the team in the development of conceptual design changes to mechanical systems for improved reliability and efficiency
  11. Provide technical due diligence review and evaluation for the electrical selection process
  12. Develop strong industry relationships with other peers and organizations to remain current on industry trends and future directions
  13. Experience with some electrical equipment, including both AC and DC circuits.
  14. Experience working in the Power Generation Industry.
  15. Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including NEC, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, and UL.
  16. Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills
  17. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  18. Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a must. Other  software is a plus.
  19. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
  20. Team player with positive attitude and desire to learn.

Physical Requirements

Work environment is an office atmosphere. Work environment could also involve some outside

exposure. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for long

periods of time; walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, and metal; climb stairs;

balance, climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl; walk on hilly and uneven ground; use hands to handle and

feel; reach with hands; and communicate with others. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 


Working Conditions

This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas
