Are you excited about this work?

  • Creates schematics, panel layout and machine documentation.
  • Assists Electrical Controls and Assembly Leads with the startup, testing and debugging of machines.
  • Assist as needed at customer site for machine start-up and troubleshooting.
  • Work with controls engineers in designing electrical control systems
  • Create and update changes of electrical/pneumatic schematics in Electrical CAD
  • Size and specify electrical and pneumatic components
  • Create bill of materials for machines
  • Provide machine start-ups and debugging support to electrical controls and assembly department
  • Verify proper wiring and plumbing of components and assure that the controls standards are followed
  • Provide service support in machine troubleshooting for customers both in the field and telephone troubleshooting
  • Support service technicians conducting customer service calls requiring troubleshooting and updated documentation in the service files
  • Assist in new and replacement product/component evaluations and improvement
  • Completes other tasks requested by supervisor.

  • 2+ years' experience in electrical design
  • Packaging experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Ability to read technical journals and vendor literature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which includes presentation skill.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word/Excel), SolidWorks 3D.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role.
  • Various personal computer applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Electrical CAD experience.
  • Experience in electrical circuit design.
  • Understanding of safety circuits and category classifications
  • Experience with electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience with PLC, operator interface, and servo applications.
