Title: Electrical Engineer - Motion Control & Automation
Location: Huntley

Overview:

We're seeking an Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving real-world automation challenges and working with advanced motion control technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with servo motors, drives, controllers, and multi-axis systems supporting robotics, industrial automation, and other cutting-edge applications.

You'll collaborate with engineering, applications, and product teams to test, integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize motion control solutions while supporting customers and driving product performance.

Job Duties:

  • Support servo motors, drives, controllers, and motion control systems
  • Perform testing, validation, and performance optimization
  • Tune multi-axis servo systems for customer applications
  • Troubleshoot electrical and motion control issues
  • Support system integration, commissioning, and customer projects
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation
  • Evaluate third-party components for compatibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and application development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, automation, robotics, or mechatronics
  • Experience with motors, servo drives, or motion control systems
  • Understanding of control systems and servo tuning
  • Familiarity with C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Exposure to EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, or similar industrial networks

Preferred:

  • Experience with electrical test equipment and instrumentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CAD, ERP, or engineering software tools
