Schedule: 9/80 Regular (Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)

Job Description: 

The purpose of the Integration and Test engineer position is to synthesize and define test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems. Coordinate assembly level through system level integration and test activities and ensure that technical obligations are fulfilled.

Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practice knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision Communications with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements with systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform software and hardware development for automated test processes
  • Develop automated test plans, test procedures and test cases
  • Execute automated tests and analyze test results
  • Troubleshoot automated test stations, lead root cause and corrective action efforts
  • Utilize software tools to perform software/hardware troubleshooting
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate test development activity plans and status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow processes in conformance with established policies and objectives
  • Support internal and external design reviews to ensure design for testability
  • Support Operations in failure trend analysis and ensure failure trends are quickly and effectively identified and resolved
  • Provide technical guidance for automated test tools to engineering development teams and offer improvements based on lessons learned
  • Collaborate with I&T commodity teams in the transition from manual to automated test process
  • Support business development on proposals for automated test tools
  • Mentor less tenured engineers on the I&T Automation Engineering team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and minimum 6 years of prior Integration/Test experience; OR Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance (requires US Citizenship)
  • Technical Software Proficiency: IBM Rational DOORS, TestRail, MBSE, Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence)
  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Advanced Competency: NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, MS Visio, MS Project
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to productively contribute work, ideas, and collaboration as part of a team
  • Specialty Experience (at least one required):
    • Understanding of Broadband RF/Microwave and Antenna testing for injected and radiated tests including S-Parameters, Noise Figure, Compression, EMI/EMC; OR
    • Understanding of Electro-Optical Imaging testing including optical Signal to Noise Ratio, MTF, MRTD, boresight alignment, optical distortion, relative illumination, ELRF testing and alignments, video format compliance, multi-spectral cameras such as visible, SWIR, MWIR
  • Test Hardware Experience: Programmable Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Analyzers, Fiber Optic Scope Meters, DAQs

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $88,500- $164,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
