Davenergy Solutions is currently seeking an onsite, full-time Electrical Engineer (Construction Management - CM-EE) to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program at the Hershel "Woody" Williams Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, WV.


This position will provide professional electrical engineering and construction management support to the VA during all phases of design and construction for EHRM infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

  • Onsite electrical engineering support for federal healthcare construction projects
  • Construction Management (CM) support for EHRM-related electrical infrastructure
  • Review of electrical designs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Monitoring contractor compliance with electrical codes, VA standards, and project specifications
  • Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems
  • Familiarity with critical power systems, emergency power, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Participation in constructability reviews, value engineering, and commissioning activities
  • Construction phase inspections, daily logs, and deficiency tracking
  • Schedule monitoring and coordination with contractors and VA staff
  • Cost control support including review of contractor pay applications
  • Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and VA electrical standards
  • Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, IT/Communications, etc.)
  • Site surveys, field assessments, and technical reporting
  • Strong written reporting, documentation, and computer skills
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support a fast-paced project environment
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite federal facility

 Communication, Language, and Software Skills: 

  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and written recommendations
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal and professional communication skills with VA staff, contractors, and project stakeholders

 Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Educational requirements may be substituted with significant directly related experience, where applicable

 Registration Requirements: 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Commissioning experience or certification is a plus
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA PIV card / NACI background clearance
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (required within 60 days of notice to proceed)
