Job description

We are a fast-growing company seeking a self-motivated and creative individual to join our team as an Application Engineer. Our engineers provide technical support to professionals throughout the Americas and across a range of industries. In this role, you will work closely with our Sales and Marketing team and Engineers in Japan to promote and support cutting-edge technologies in Lithium-Ion battery manufacturing, mobility and automotive, renewable energy, electronic components, and power electronics.

Key Responsibilities: Assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions during the sales process. Provide technical assistance and promptly respond to customer inquiries. Work with Sales and Management to develop and implement revenue growth strategies. Create and deliver presentations, application notes, and white papers. Conduct product demonstrations and attend trade shows as needed. Recommend enhancements to Hioki's existing product line. Provide product training to internal sales associates, sales representatives, distributors, and end users.


Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2+ years of experience in test and measurement, applications, electrical design, system integration, or a similar role. Proficiency with test and measurement instruments such as data acquisition equipment, battery testers, LCR meters, and power analyzers.


Desired Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of electronic principles and a genuine interest in technology. Ability to understand complex technical concepts and a desire to teach others. Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal teammates. Effective presentation skills in large and small settings. Strong writing skills to communicate with clarity and conviction.
