AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing multidisciplinary engineering team. If you're passionate about designing innovative building systems and enjoy working on diverse, high-profile projects, we'd love to meet you.

As an Electrical Engineer/Designer, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of projects while collaborating with experienced Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection professionals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design electrical systems for new construction, renovations, and facility improvements.
  • Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, reports, and engineering calculations.
  • Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
  • Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and electrical details.
  • Coordinate designs with architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, owners, and design teams.
  • Perform field investigations and site visits as required.
  • Ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code (FBC), NEC, NFPA, ANSI, SREF, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform quality control reviews of engineering documents.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Support project managers throughout design and construction.

What We are Looking For


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building systems electrical design
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical building system
  • Experience preparing construction documents for MEP projects
  • Working knowledge of:       Florida Building Code (FBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA Standards, ANSI Standards
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Microsoft Office Suite, and experienced with Trane Trace and Newforma.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred

 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with healthcare, aviation, educational, or government facilities.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable building design.
