The Role

As an Electrical Designer / Engineer (Project Lead), you will lead small to mid-sized projects while contributing to the design and delivery of electrical building systems. You’ll be responsible for coordinating project activities, supporting technical delivery, and mentoring junior team members—while continuing to build your own technical and leadership capabilities.


What You’ll Be Doing

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead small to mid-sized projects, managing scope, schedule, and deliverables
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure timelines and milestones are met
  • Identify and communicate scheduling or resourcing challenges early
  • Support project planning, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables

Design & Technical Execution

  • Participate in the design and development of electrical systems
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and HIDI design practices
  • Contribute to calculations, system layouts, and equipment selection
  • Review and coordinate work across multidisciplinary teams

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support client communication, including presenting designs and technical solutions
  • Assist in preparing proposals and fee letters
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Assign, coordinate, and review work of junior team members
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in building services design
  • Strong technical foundation in electrical systems design
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; Bluebeam and other engineering tools are an asset
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
