The role performs and coordinates hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance across branch offices, operations facilities, and grounds, oversees vendor work on site, and responds to service requests that affect daily branch operations. The position also serves as the primary maintenance contact for assigned locations and covers the Facilities Officer's duties during absences.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform and coordinate routine repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, and hardware at branch and operations facilities.Inspect Technician repairs to ensure quality and provide guidance to Technicians as appropriate.Escort and monitor contractors and service vendors on site, and inspect completed work before authorizing sign-off.Conduct scheduled building, grounds, and safety inspections, correcting minor deficiencies directly and escalating larger issues.Assist with hurricane and severe weather preparation and recovery, including installing shutters, securing exterior property, testing generators, and reporting damage.Assist with furniture and equipment moves, small remodels, signage installation, and branch setup projects.Respond to after-hours and emergency calls on a rotating basis, taking initial action to protect employees, customers, bank property, and records.Responsibilities also include other duties as assigned by the manager.Supervisory Responsibility: Provides day-to-day work direction to maintenance staff and on-site oversight of contracted service providers under the direction of the Facilities Officer. Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school coursework in a building trade preferred.Three or more years of building or facilities maintenance supervisory experience preferred.Practical working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.Prior experience in a multi-site, retail, or bank environment preferred.Valid driver's license required. First State Bank is an equal opportunity employer which provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, marital status or any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws.
