Job description

This opportunity is ideal for an early-career electrical construction professional who wants to continue developing their estimating skills while working alongside an experienced team. The successful candidate will support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical construction projects.

Compensation: Approximately $100,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing detailed estimates and competitive bids for electrical construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and other bid documents.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with determining material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist with bid preparation, scope reviews, and proposal development.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs as needed.
  • Identify potential scope gaps, risks, and cost considerations during the estimating process.
  • Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost information.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams.
  • Support project handoff from estimating to operations after award.
  • Stay current on material pricing, labor considerations, and electrical construction market conditions.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of electrical construction or estimating experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction practices.
