Job description

Description:

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support tenant improvement projects throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts and travel assignments between the islands.


Responsibilities

  • Install, route, and secure various types of conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, CAT5/6, RMC, and Romex
  • Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, and electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
  • Pull, feed, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
  • Build, install, and troubleshoot control panels and related systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical installation issues and system malfunctions
  • Perform refrigeration and/or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
  • Assist with or perform Ansul system installations (preferred)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
  • Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
  • May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman
Requirements:
  • Minimum of four years of electrical commercial construction experience
  • Ability to commute to various jobsites
  • Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule
  • Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
