About the Position:
As a Service Technician at Ace Parking, your primary responsibility is to maintain, repair, and service our clients' equipment and systems. You will be a key player in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service while maintaining profitability for the company. We are seeking an individual who not only possesses technical expertise but also embodies our values of accountability, communication, family, exceptional service, and profitability.
Responsibilities:
  • Installation, programming, service and maintenance of security access systems (Parking Access Control Systems, EV Charging Stations, CCTV, and Intercom Systems) to ensure projects are working to specifications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time while performing work duties.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record for use of company vehicles.
  • Available for 24/7 On-Call rotation with other technicians, for occasional after-hours service request. Approximately 1 week each month.
  • Enrollment in ongoing Electrical Apprentice or Electrical Trainee courses.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work within time constraints
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine proper installation and/or repair procedures.
  • Understand mechanical & electrical drawings & wiring diagrams.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
  • Understand the jobsite protocols specific to each project and location.
  • Ability to recognize problems and items outside of scope to effectively address them with customers or team members.
  • Accurately document all daily job tasks conducted with clear detailed work descriptions and accurate time documentation for each associated job task. Documenting all service and maintenance task for customer billing.
  • Effectively manage all required documentation, updating notes daily with current job status information until job completion.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers, clients and subcontractors regarding job scope to lead expectations.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and ethical practices with coworkers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Utilize knowledge of low voltage hardware and software for installation, configuration, testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
  • Be a committed team player to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Willingness to work as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Operating tools and equipment safely to avoid accidents.
  • Maintain all required tools and equipment to be in safe, clean, and proper working condition.
  • Maintain all work areas to ensure they remain clean, safe and organized.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with IT systems, low voltage wiring, access control systems, video surveillance and intercom systems.
  • Knowledgeable of mechanical systems installation, programming, service and maintenance.
  • Experience using hand tools and electric power tools.
  • Able to read and understand Plans, Manuals and Technical Specifications.
  • Strong computer skills. Knowledgeable experience with office computer networking and MS Windows PC/Server configuration.
  • Proficient with MS Office software products: Word/Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
