The apprenticeship usually lasts 3 to 5 years and prepares individuals to become licensed electricians upon completion. Apprentices are paid employees and gain valuable hands-on experience throughout the program.

What are the typical responsibilities of an electrical apprentice?

As an Electrical Apprentice, you'll assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Your daily tasks often include running wire, connecting outlets and switches, reading blueprints, and learning to use various hand and power tools safely.
