About the Role

Sunrock is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to lead electrical maintenance and reliability efforts across our asphalt operations. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical systems, managing preventive maintenance programs, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, deep technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, and the ability to manage people, projects, and budgets in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor electrical maintenance technicians and electricians
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and respond to electrical breakdowns and system failures
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B standards
  • Perform and oversee electrical testing, inspections, and repairs
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical services and materials
  • Manage electrical maintenance and project budgets
  • Support electrical controls and automation systems
  • Review and develop electrical drawings and facility layouts
  • Monitor energy usage and implement efficiency improvements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety policies

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical maintenance or industrial electrical operations
  • Previous electrical maintenance management or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
  • Licensed Electrician certification preferred
  • Experience supporting asphalt plants, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
