About the Role:
Porpiglia Electrical Contractors is looking for a motivated Electrician Apprentice to join our growing team in Milton, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade hands-on alongside experienced electricians while building a rewarding career in the electrical industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist journeyman and master electricians with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical panels, outlets, switches, and fixtures
  • Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA and NEC standards
  • Troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing electrical issues under the supervision of a licensed electrician
  • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites as needed
  • Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship program coursework
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a registered electrical apprenticeship program
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical environments including heights and confined spaces
