Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst Jr. / Project Management Analyst (PMA) to support the Distribution Program. This position will provide day-to-day analytical, administrative, and project support to a Senior Project Manager overseeing electric utility distribution programs and projects, primarily within the Washington, DC and Newark, DE areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project and program-level analytical activities for electric utility distribution programs.
  • Assist with contract administration and support the development of RFPs for distribution programs.
  • Create and process contract requisitions.
  • Support contract payment authorizations and review/approve invoices.
  • Track project and contract-related accruals and maintain accurate contract records.
  • Manage and analyze large volumes of program-level data.
  • Maintain and organize data using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Prepare reports, track project activities, and provide analytical support to project management.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and various project teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Support high-volume order and project tracking while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Participate in team meetings and occasional site visits within the Exelon service territory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background.
  • 1–5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as:
    • VLOOKUPs
    • Pivot Tables
    • Equations/formulas
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of information, orders, and project data while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting project managers or project management offices.
  • Experience with contract administration, invoice processing, requisitions, or financial tracking.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI.
  • Previous experience in the electric utility, utility construction, or energy industry is highly preferred.
  • A combination of analytical, office administration, and project management experience is ideal.
