Our experience and capabilities enable us to collaborate with clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their electrical systems, from pre-construction and design services to construction and maintenance.
Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, works with electrical, architectural, mechanical and structural drawings to provide fully coordinated electrical installations using three-dimensional modeling.
What You Will Do
  • Works closely with construction teams to create installation drawings and work packets for prefabrication from the coordinated model for use in field installation
  • Attends and coordinates BIM/clash detection meetings
  • Independently manages multiple jobs
  • Attends various job-related meetings
  • Effectively communicates job/project issues with BIM Project Management
  • Effectively communicates with senior leads, project managers and field construction team
  • Coordinates and generates concrete slab embeds layout, overhead and vertical conduit routing, electrical room layout, underground ductbanks drawings and light fixture layout for construction teams
  • Produces a clash-free, constructible model for a successful installation
  • Coordinates electrical room layouts, feeder routing and equipment clearances consistent with the NEC
  • Creates clash tests and reports using Navisworks to proactively identify issues with constructability
  • Posts weekly model updates for coordination meetings
  • Provides Navisworks in NWD format for construction team's reference
  • Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

What You Will Need to be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience supervising and/or directing large project commercial electrical installation is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, installations and code requirements pertaining to electrical detailing
  • Proficiency with the following programs/processes/applications preferred and/or required: multi-discipline plan reading, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, specifications and submittals, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo, eVolve Electrical, Revit family creation
  • Familiarity with LOD and associated specifications preferred
  • Ability to maintain clean CAD and Revit backgrounds from various disciplines
  • Ability to create installations, Trimble and prefabrication drawings for field installations
  • Ability to maintain document control, updating of changes and as-built conditions throughout the project
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with file management, organization and Microsoft Office

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • May supervise or coordinate the work of others who assist in specific assignments.

Special Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with minimal health or safety hazards. Noise level and temperature is moderate. Minimal lifting or climbing. Some travel such as, but not limited to, other offices, work sites and local business errands. Requires operating office machines such as, but not limited to, computers, copiers, scanners and phones.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as submittals, operations manuals and project schedules. Ability to write routine correspondence such as letters and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and/or external clients of the firm. Communicate clearly and effectively with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to support project execution.
Reasoning Ability and/or Critical Thinking:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction. Constructive thinking and alternative short- to long-term solutions must be considered. Action plans must be developed and implemented.
