The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced PTAG (Permit and Tag) Coordinator for our Utility Services division who is responsible for analyzing and developing permit and tag orders, input of those plans to customer systems, oversight of the PTAG process, participate with safety plans; keeping training certifications current; and spending time with field workforce to provide leadership for projects related to utility work being performed on customer property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Quality Leadership - Maintain a safe and positive work environment; participate with Safety & Quality to drive an error-free workplace; communicate and coach customer safety requirements; participate in developing a Site-Specific Safety Plan as directed; and attend pre-construction meetings and provide input on safety and quality responsibilities.
  • PTAG & Compliance Management - Communicate and coach customer PTAG requirements; train field and management in PTAG-specific practices; organize and compile required PTAG documentation; and identify areas for improvement for project personnel and relay to supervision for training or communication needs.
  • Document & Systems Administration - Process and submit outage (ORCA) requests as needed; upload documents to SharePoint or server for customers, vendors, and subcontractors; and review all outage (ORCA) and permit-related documents to become familiar with project requirements and obligations.
  • Pre-Construction Support - Assure complete and thorough pre-construction planning and provide necessary guidance or documentation during the preconstruction process; and attend pre-construction meetings to provide input on requirements, safety, and quality.

Who We're Looking For

  • Journeyman Lineman classification or 5 years' experience as a system's operator for electric utility company or 5 years' experience as an energy control representative for an investor owned utility.
  • Electrical engineering degree or certification preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications with strong skills in Excel, Word, and MS Project.
  • Local to Pennsylvania (preferable) but with regular travel to other offices, customer facilities, jobsites and yard locations for offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).
  • A "can-do" attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
