Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Responsible for working closely with subject matter experts to design, develop and evaluate engaging e-learning content and managing assignment groups within the learning management system (LMS). Responsible for product design associated with needs assessment, development, and evaluation of online education programs including creating and editing graphical, textual, and interactive materials.  

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.  

  1. *Collaborates with subject matter experts to design, develop and implement e-learning content. 

  1. *Creates engaging and interactive online training modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc. 

  1. *Manages LMS course assignments and ensures accurate tracking of learner progress. 

  1. *Maintains and updates e-learning materials to ensure relevance and accuracy. 

  1. *Provides technical support and troubleshooting for e-learning content and LMS issues. 

  1. *Responsible for creating reports for regulatory requirements and others as required; ensures data integrity of reports. 

  1. *Responsible for validating intended learning audience with content authors and other leaders. 

  1. Stays current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning technologies. 

  1. Acts as a system point of contact for leaders, participants and vendors. 

  1. Manages the LMS course catalog and materials. 

  1. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 

  1. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. 

  1. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  1. Knowledge of educational software, audio-visual, and multimedia tools. 

  1. Knowledge of instructional systems, design principles and adult learning theory. 

  1. Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) and authoring tools. 

  1. Knowledge of eLearning formats (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, AICC, etc). 

  1. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. 

  1. Strong skill in communication and collaboration. 

  1. Skill in graphic design and video editing software. 

  1. Skill in the use of MS365, e-Learning software, authoring tools, and image tools. 

  1. Ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, etc). 

  1. Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergent or stressful situations.  

  1. Ability to analyze problems, identify needs and priorities and implement effective work strategies. 

  1. Ability to analyze, design, develop and implement e-Learning solutions using instructional systems design principles and adult learning theory. 

  1. Ability to think conceptually to participate in the development, revision, and evaluation of course materials. 

  1. Ability to effectively synthesize information, manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines. 

  1. Ability to work effectively in a team and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. 

  1. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 

  1. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. 

  1. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. 

  1. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. 

  1. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Human Relations or a related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in instructional design and/ or e-learning development required. Certification in e-learning design and development is preferred. Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar preferred. Education or experience with professional videography preferred. Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related training preferred.
