This position is essential in the ability of EJ Reynolds Company to meet scheduled production goals and to produce high-quality projects that meet and exceed customer expectations.  The  CNC Machinist is responsible for basic programming and operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines, troubleshooting, reading, and interpreting blueprints, tooling changes, and inspection of machined parts.
Duties: 

Machine Operation 85%

·        Program machinery for operation according to instructions
·        Monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
·        Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
·        Inspect parts to specifications making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications
·        Inspect 1st article parts by using hand tools 
·        Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and material
 Machine Maintenance 15%

·   Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
·         Conduct regular machine assessments
·         Monitor machine oil levels
·         Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Qualifications and Skills Required

·         3-5 years of operating and/or programming experience on CNC (computer numerical control) machines in a manufacturing facility or similar relevant skills or experience 
·         Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
·         Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement 
·         Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail
·         The ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 pounds and able to stand for extended periods 
·         Ability to follow written and oral instructions
·         Self-motivated team player
·         High school diploma or equivalent
·         Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
