Kemin is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead species growth strategy and drive sustainable business expansion within our Dairy business. This role serves as the voice of the market, translating customer insights and industry trends into strategies, portfolio direction, commercialization plans, and demand-generation initiatives that accelerate adoption, market share growth, and long-term business success.

 

This position may be based anywhere in the continental United States and requires up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Species Business Growth: Drive market share expansion, revenue growth, and long-term business opportunities within the dairy segment through strategic planning and execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, R&D, Technical Services, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure successful product development, positioning, commercialization, and market adoption.
  • New Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue emerging market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic partnerships that expand the business and support future growth objectives.
  • Voice of Customer Leadership: Gather and synthesize insights from producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, feed mills, and other industry stakeholders to identify customer needs, challenges, and market opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, economic drivers, disease challenges, competitive activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making and market positioning.
  • Portfolio Direction: Evaluate current product offerings, identify portfolio gaps, and recommend new product, service, or innovation opportunities to meet evolving customer and market needs.
  • Value Proposition Development: Translate technical product benefits into clear economic, operational, and business value propositions tailored to the targeted species segment.
  • Go-to-Market & Commercialization Strategy: Lead go-to-market planning, product launch execution, and commercialization initiatives to accelerate customer adoption and business growth.
  • Demand Generation Strategy: Develop and implement strategic programs and market development initiatives that create market awareness, customer engagement, and demand for solutions.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, universities, research institutions, industry associations, and other strategic partners to strengthen market presence and advance business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Education and experience requirements:
    • Bachelor Degree, in Marketing or Life Sciences background, with 5-7 years of experience in Dairy markets.
    • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Maintain industry knowledge and experience.
  • Background must include strategic marketing experience.
  • Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, energetic, business-minded manager with a broad scientific/technical aptitude knowledge base who can provide product leadership, set priorities, delegate responsibilities and meet timetables leading to the attainment of growth goals.
  • Experience as an effective product or marketing manager, project team player, leader and motivator; and the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with customers, peers and all levels of management.
  • Strong cross functional team, leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong financial skills: especially the ability to understand financial statements and to analytically evaluate and understand product costs, margin, pricing and market share.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires a marketing mentality combined with marketing training and experience as it relates to marketing products in the industry.
  • Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects.
