Position Overview

Edventure Charter School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate High School Social Studies & Math Teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for teaching Social Studies and General Mathematics courses through Algebra I to high school students in an ESE setting.

The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting diverse learners, skilled at differentiating instruction, and committed to fostering academic growth, independence, and confidence in every student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction in Social Studies and Math (through Algebra I).
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs and IEP requirements.
  • Develop differentiated lesson plans that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions.
  • Implement accommodations, modifications, and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, service providers, and school staff to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring data, and required documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and school initiatives.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with a preference in education or related field.
  • Florida Teaching Certificate, Statement of Eligibility, OR ability to obtain certification.
  • Preferred experience working with high school students or comparable age groups.
  • Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to use educational technology and student data to support learning.
  • Commitment to serving students with diverse learning needs.

Preferred

  • Certification in ESE (Exceptional Student Education).
  • Experience teaching Social Studies and/or Mathematics through Algebra I.
  • Experience working in charter schools, alternative education settings, or specialized ESE programs.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
