Curriculum Development Specialist

Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET)

**This position is contingent upon contract award.**


Position Overview

Hatalomis seeking a Curriculum Development Specialist to support Marine Corps University (MCU) and Education Command curriculum development initiatives. This positionis responsible fordesigning, developing, andmaintaininginstructional materials that support Professional Military Education (PME) and distance learning programs.The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty, curriculum developers, and subject matter experts to create engaging learning experiences, assessments, instructional guides, and technology-enhanced learning solutions. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop lesson plans, instructional guides, assessments, and curriculum materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences.
  • Review, revise, andmaintaincurriculum materials to support programobjectives.
  • Develop assessment tools and evaluate learning outcomes.
  • Support curriculum reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and integrate technology-enhanced learning tools and digital resources.
  • Prepare curriculum documentation, course outlines, syllabi, and faculty guidance materials.
  • Analyze student performance data and stakeholder feedback to improve curriculum effectiveness.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational program support.
  • Strong written communication and document development skills.
  • Experience developing assessments, instructional materials, and learning resources.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting higher education, military training, or Professional Military Education (PME) programs.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience working with faculty, academic organizations, or military subject matter experts.

  • U.S. Citizenshiprequired.
  • Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation)required.
