Job description

LaBella is currently seeking an Environmental Program Manager leading our Eastern NY team for our Environmental Division in our Permitting & Compliance Department. The proper candidate should be self-sufficient, have experience managing and proposing projects, marketing clients, maintaining existing clients, and be comfortable managing/mentoring junior staff. Hybrid (home/office) work schedules are available for this position.

Duties:
  • Manage environmental projects, with a focus on wetlands, species, and stormwater
  • Work with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
  • Maintain, manage, and expand client relationships across our footprint
  • Identify and pursue project opportunities
  • Prepare proposals and project budgets
  • Manage and mentor junior level staff
  • Manage, lead and help grow our Eastern NY permitting team
Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology.
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in delineation, permitting, jurisdictional determinations, etc. of freshwater wetlands and streams.
  • Knowledge of New York local, state and federal regulations as it related to wetlands, stream and protected species
  • Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for deliverables.
  • Experience cost estimating and proposing projects
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Must be comfortable being a firm representative (i.e. maintain, pursue, and establish client business relationships)

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
